Good Shepherd, Woodthorpe
with
St Anthony's of Calverton
NAME OF SERVICE: Uniformed Groups-Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE:

The parish hosts the 2nd Woodthorpe Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers.

Girlguiding aims to give all girls across the UK the space and opportunities they need to thrive, grow and give back to their communities.

Girls meet regularly on Wednesday evenings in the parish centre. Together they learn skills, grow in confidence, make lifelong friendships, help their communities and have lots of fun.

Guiding is so much more than an after-school activity or a way for girls to spend an evening.

WHERE/WHEN?

Every Wednesday evening in the parish centre during term dates:

Rainbows (age 5-7 years) 5 - 6pm Brownies (ages 7 - 10 years) 6 - 7.30pm

Guides (ages 10 - 14 years) and

Rangers (14 years +) 7.30 - 9pm.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

New members are very welcome. Please apply through the Girlguiding website www.girlguiding.org.uk/get-involved/

We welcome new girl members but also anyone who wishes to volunteer to run the groups.

HOW CAN I GET HELP FROM THE SERVICE?

When you volunteer for Girlguiding, you become an inspiring role model for our young members.

When girls join Girlguiding they learn and practice skills and gain opportunities that give back to the community in which they live.
