"Arise and Shine" - one day Catholic Prayer Conference and Healing service held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Nottingham attracted around 180 people from all nationalities. The day led by renowned catholic evangelist Ros Powell has been a blessing to the people as most attended were uplifted in faith, baptised in the Holy Spirit, opened their heart for the Lord and healed. The physical healings taken place on the conference day proclaimed the world how actively the Holy Spirit is moving in our midst at this very time. The conference took place on 16 July 2016, begun with the praying the holy Rosary, followed by Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Biju Joseph in the parish church.

Thereafter the crowd filled in the Marian Hall and participated in lively praise & worship led by Mike Langford and his team. On the powerful proclamation of the Word of God, Ros Powel urged the group to "Awake from the false blanket of hibernation the world has put on us." She said "it's time to arise, shine and be a witness of Christ in the secular world". Prayer for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and for healing resulted in a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit moving many of the people, releasing the gifts, consolations, convictions, prophecies, inner and physical healings. The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament led by Divine Mercy Ministries Nottingham helped the people to worship and adore The Lord in truth and spirit in the Real Presence. The event was organised by "Ephphatha Praise & Healing Service Team", of Bulwell, who conduct regular monthly conferences in Bulwell and in other parishes across the country on request.
