Rosary On The Coast
The "Rosary On The Coast" initiative inspired the Adult Faith Formation Group of the Good Shepherd Church in Arnold, Nottingham, to register as a inland destination for people who wished to support the Rosary chain but for numerous reasons could not make it to the coast. So the booklets were printed, posters displayed and parishioners were encouraged to spread the word and inspire others to join in. A wonderful turn out of over 60 people arrived at the church Sunday afternoon, 29 April, to prayerfully meditate on the Rosary seeking the powerful intercession of Our Blessed Mother with the help of her Spouse, the Holy Spirit to seek a lively faith, an increase in peace and life for the British Isles. Once collective prayer was finished people were encouraged to sit in silence as Gregorian Chant filled the Church leaving many deep in contemplation. Responses from parishioners: "it was so moving" and "so wonderful and powerful to be praying with so many throughout the country". We have for many years a Rosary Group who pray the daily Rosary everyday thirty minutes before the morning Holy Mass. All are most welcome to come along and join in. A huge thank you to the organisers of this powerful event and to all the Bishops who showed their support, especially those who joined in on the day.
