Events-Coffee Morning

Good Shepherd Church. MacMillan Coffee Morning. Saturday 8th September 2022.

Another year went by and we started to think about this year's coffee morning to raise a few pennies for those wonderful MacMillan nurses in their endeavors to support the sick and terminally ill and their families.

We spent Friday getting the hall ready and putting flags and notices outside and numbering over a hundred tombola prizes. All that now remained was plenty of cake and plenty of visitors.

We began our proceedings after the 10am Mass and then waited for the crowds to arrive. Well, we got a nice steady flow of people who came to enjoy a cuppa and a cake along with a good old chat and of course to part with some of their cash.

By the end of the afternoon, we totted up and found we'd made over £500. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us and I'm sure MacMillan will be appreciative of our efforts.

Thanks to all who helped make the event a success, serving tea, coffee and cake to ensure everyone's enjoyment.
