NAME OF SERVICE: Exploring or refreshing the Catholic Faith (Evangelium)

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE:

This service is widely known as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) or Evangelium. It provides guidance to adults who wish to explore the Catholic Faith and consider whether they would like to join us in the Universal Church.

It is also available to those who are already baptised Catholics but have not practised their faith for some time and would like a "refresher" course and guidance.

WHERE/WHEN?

Tuesday evenings. 7pm - 8pm from September to Easter (break over Christmas).

Meetings are normally held in the Atrium of the parish centre.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

This service is open to everyone. Ideally we would like practising Catholics to look out for friends or family members who may be interested.

Even better is when we can help those who are looking for some direction. This links closely with the parish welcoming service (see the separate details in the directory).

Anyone who wants to share their faith is also welcome to be a catechist. It is really fulfilling. Just ring the contact points below or ask a Welcomer.

HOW CAN I GET HELP FROM THE SERVICE?

This service will provide you with helpful guidance on the Catholic Faith and will enable you to decide whether you wish to become a Catholic.

It will also help Catholics who have been sacramentally inactive to reconnect with the Church.
